Alice Howe

Alice Howe Boston, Massachusetts USA USA

To hear Alice Howe sing is to be enraptured by the natural, unaffected beauty of her voice. There’s no artifice, no histrionics — just honest, authentic, emotionally resonant singing in the tradition of the roots music that shaped her. On Circumstance, her second and latest album, the Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter guitarist displays her vocal prowess and introspective writing in abundance, mining both her heart and her musical tastes for a deep, personal journey across an Americana soundscape dotted with blues, folk, country, soul and rock. Recorded in two sessions at the legendary Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where Etta James and Wilson Pickett once shook the walls, the record channels their spirits with 11 stirring tracks that pull no punches diving into the vagaries of the heart and her own personal journey. As an old soul inside a 30-something millennial, Alice puts her stamp on Americana’s venerable strands with 10 standout originals evoking both the classic singer-songwriters and the seminal music that once filled airwaves, roadhouses and juke joints.

Sarah Clanton

Sarah Clanton Nashville, Tennessee USA

Sarah Clanton is a remarkable Nashville-based artist, a trailblazer in her own right, who fearlessly combines classical cello finesse with indie folk-pop ingenuity. A multi-talented singer-songwriter, cellist, and professional mermaid, Sarah's creative journey is an enchanting story of innovation, artistry, and advocacy. At the heart of Sarah's musical odyssey is her deep connection to the cello, an instrument she's played since the age of nine. Growing up in a conservative Southern Baptist household, and as a classically trained cellist, it wasn’t until she discovered the vibrant open mic scene in Greenville, South Carolina that her world really started to expand in the direction of her dreams. In the ever-evolving world of music, Sarah Clanton stands as a beacon of innovation and resilience, a true artist who continually pushes boundaries and encourages others to embrace their unique paths.

Clint Alphin

Clint Alphin Nashville, Tennesee USA

Born in the small town of Dunn, North Carolina, Clint Alphin always had a straight path to becoming a successful businessman. His family ran a second-generation meat and seafood distributing company, and it was assumed that he might someday take it over, or do something similar. Although his family are all musical, and he grew up singing and playing in church and at school, most people in Alphin’s community considered music to be a hobby, not a profession. “In that town, there aren’t a lot of models for how you can be a professional musician. The perception is that you’re either world famous, or you’re eating beanie weenies out of a can for your whole life”. For Alphin, making the choice to pursue music was a hard-fought personal battle, but one that he found to be deeply true to himself. His newest album, The End At The Beginning is streaming on all platforms and available for download now.

Xanthe Alexis

Xanthe Alexis Nashville, Tennessee USA USA

“Transcendent” -- KEXP Radio

The accomplished Colorado musician was just breaking into the national scene as the world shifted under our feet in early 2020. Her experience as both a trauma therapist and a single mother of two allowed her to weather the subsequent storm with unusual grace. Even from lockdown, Alexis has offered friends and fans daily affirmations of power and hope on social media – commodities that are rare in these times of vindictive language.

The passionate and strident tracks on "The Offering" reflect her wise responses to this new world shorn of pretense and masquerade. Her writing on the album also springs from the aftermath of heartbreak so the music functions both to heal others after hard-won lessons in moving forward herself. She sings, “It’s going to leave you hungry, kisses just like medicine, there and then gone again, here inside The Offering, tell me what you need.”

Xanthe’s junior release, "Lover’s Mark", in production now in Nashville, Tennessee is set to release in 2025.
