Description: Artists not only generate revenue streams from their standard intellectual property licensing (collecting PRO checks, placing syncs in film/tv, etc.), but also from strategic branding deals, merch sales, ticket sales, focusing their marketing and promo efforts on certain higher paying services, and spending time and effort in fixing their metadata and claiming black box monies. Have you focused on finding the strategies to truly maximize your revenue streams? Whereas ticket income is very quantifiable, back-end income from intellectual property or merchandise can turn up fairly randomly, and missing money can be overlooked. Although some of the responsibility of maximizing and collecting revenue can be passed to a publisher, royalty agent, or business manager, a creator needs to know what they are paying the royalty agent for, and if the job is being done well. Your money is your responsibility. For the music industry to become truly artist-centric, royalties and revenue streams need to be better understood by the artists and their teams to truly maximize each revenue stream. Our panel of experts will take through the many revenue streams and share insights (and maybe tricks of the trade) to maximize those checks!
